Dr. Jacklyn Mitchell
Dr. Mitchell is no stranger to the Midwest as she is originally from North Dakota and spent her summers growing up on the lakes of Minnesota.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Valley City State University, where she played 4 years of collegiate basketball and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry.
From North Dakota, she moved to Arizona to attend dental school at A. T. Still University – Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. While attending dental school, Dr. Mitchell held multiple leadership positions in community outreach and international mission trips while gaining her Master’s Public Health and graduating in the top of her class with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Following dental school, she worked for three years in a private practice setting as a general dentist, honing her restorative skills but ultimately finding her passion for endodontics and micro-surgery. Dr. Mitchell was accepted to the University of Florida’s Endodontic Residency, which is recognized for its elite clinical training. During residency, her research focused on the use of CBCT in the diagnosis and treatment planning of Invasive Cervical Resorption.
Dr. Mitchell has a keen understanding of modern endodontics including the use of CBCT in endodontics, endodontic microsurgery, endodontic re-treatment, diagnosis of odontogenic/non-odontogenic pain and trauma. Dr. Mitchell is Board Eligible, as she has successfully passed the written portion of the board certification process and is on track to becoming board certified in the near future.
In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, on the lake, and traveling. She and her husband Chase have two children; their daughter Madelyn and son Graham.
